How Can You Benefit from Homecare?

If you are considering in-home support for the first time, you may not yet be aware of the many benefits it offers. Homecare provides a range of advantages that not only enhance your independence but also promote your overall well-being.

One of the greatest benefits of homecare is the ability to remain in your own home while receiving the support you need. Being in familiar surroundings has been shown to improve mental and emotional well-being significantly, helping individuals feel more secure and comfortable. Staying at home also supports a sense of independence and dignity, which can be especially important when managing health conditions or the effects of ageing.

Homecare is also incredibly flexible. Because we offer person-centred care, our services are built around your preferences and routines. This means you have the final say on when and how you receive support, whether it's help with daily tasks, personal care, or companionship. The flexibility of homecare allows you to maintain control over your lifestyle while still receiving the right level of assistance.

Personalisation is at the heart of high-quality homecare. There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to care at home. Each Client is unique, and homecare allows for tailored support plans that address individual needs and preferences. Whether the support required is minimal or more complex, our services are designed to fit around you.

By choosing homecare, you also maintain and strengthen your local support network. Loved ones and primary carers can continue to play an active role in your care journey. Our care professionals not only provide professional support but also offer advice and guidance that complements the assistance provided by family and friends. We always ensure that information about your care is only shared with your loved ones if you have given your explicit consent.

Finally, homecare can be a more cost-effective solution compared to residential care. With homecare, you only pay for the specific services you need, avoiding the higher, fixed costs that come with moving into a care home. This makes in-home care a financially practical choice for many people seeking quality support while maintaining their independence.

"Right at Home have been supporting my stepfather since the start of December. The carers have all been fantastic, very kind and respectful and nothing is too much trouble. They help him with all aspects of his daily care, including knowing when to sit and listen and even joining in with his passion of reading poetry! They also support him in attending appointments and managing his calendar."

FAQ's

Are CareGiver's insured and checked?

Yes. Every CareGiver is a Right at Home employee. To help ensure the safety and wellbeing of our Clients, we perform a criminal history background clearance and then cover each CareGiver with general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Will I have a choice of who comes into my home?

Yes. We encourage your involvement in the decision-making process and with our proprietary screening and selection system. You can rest assured that we do our best to take the guesswork out of matching the right CareGiver to you and your family.

However, you must be satisfied. We’ll never send a CareGiver who doesn’t meet your needs, and we’ll always accommodate any requests you may have for a change in CareGivers.

What are the costs of your services?

Every family we serve receives a Personal Care Plan specific to their needs and budget. Several factors help determine the exact cost:

  • Number of hours of care per week
  • Level of homecare services received (non-medical, personal care, etc.)
  • Area of the country where services are provided

Our services are typically billed on an hourly basis. To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact our office. We’ll set up an in-home consultation to begin discussing a Personal Care Plan and the rates for each service on your plan.

We always provide a written rate sheet prior to initiating services. Rates will never be increased without at least thirty days’ notice.

How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?

Your information is never sold to a third party under any circumstances. In fact, only the office personnel and CareGivers who are directly involved in your services will have access to information related to the care of your loved one.
