Katrina Nash
Kat Nash brings extensive experience in working with people, built over 32 years in retail. Throughout her career, she has developed strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the patience and understanding needed to support people with different needs and handle challenging situations.
As a Senior Care Assistant at Right at Home Central Wiltshire, Kat is committed to providing personalised care that puts each Client first. She believes in treating everyone with dignity and respect, taking the time to understand their individual needs and preferences, and helping them maintain their independence and feel valued in their own homes.
Kat’s caring approach reflects her belief that quality care is about more than meeting practical needs; it is also about building trust, offering reassurance and making a positive difference to everyday life.
Outside work, Kat volunteers with the Scouts Association at county level. She also enjoys knitting and sewing, and attends two knitting groups that create items for charity and the local community.
Why did you go into care?
“I After 32 years in retail, I reached a point where I no longer felt satisfied at the end of a working day. I felt that the personal touch was no longer there, and I wanted to do something where I could make a genuine difference to people’s lives.
I joined Right at Home after attending a recruitment event at the office. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt like I had come home. Everyone made me feel so welcome, and I loved how the role was explained, particularly the emphasis on Client-led care. I knew it was the right environment for me.”
What does quality means to you?
“Quality means treating every Client as an individual, with dignity and respect. Everyone has their own needs, preferences and wishes, and it is important that these are understood and respected.
At Right at Home, this is a top priority. I would be incredibly happy to have our team look after me or my own family members, because I believe in the quality of care we aim to provide.”
