Bingo Fun Across the Community: Chippenham Day Centre & IID Creative Lunch

Our volunteering team has been spreading smiles and laughter across the community with two fantastic Bingo events! On 19 February, we kicked things off at Chippenham Day Centre, bringing friendly competition, joy, and connection to local older adults. Just a couple of weeks later, on 2 March, we joined the Inclusive Intergenerational Dance (IID) – Creative Lunch in Corsham, a brilliant initiative that brings people of all ages together through movement, creative activities, and shared social time.

Both events were filled with laughter, energy, and plenty of friendly competition, proving that even a simple game of Bingo can spark connection, happiness, and community spirit.

Bringing the Community Together

These events are about so much more than just a game. They create opportunities for social interaction, conversation, and shared joy. Watching friendships blossom, stories being exchanged, and confidence shine through reminded us why community engagement matters so much.

The positive energy in the rooms highlighted the impact of coming together: supporting wellbeing, reducing isolation, and celebrating the joy of being active – no matter your age.

The Inclusive Intergenerational Dance (IID) – Creative Lunch in Corsham is a wonderful community initiative that brings people of all ages together through movement, creative activities, and shared social time. IID aims to create inclusive spaces where participants can connect across generations, enjoy music, dancing, conversation, and meals, and build friendships in a fun and supportive environment. It’s a brilliant way to stay active, engage socially, and celebrate the joy of intergenerational connection.

It was nice for me as the organiser to just sit & engage without having to lead.
