Kingsbury Green Academy Career Fair 2026: Inspiring Students to Explore Careers in Care

Right at Home Central Wiltshire Shares Insights and Career Journeys

Published: 10/02/2026

Bringing the Care Industry to Life

On 5th February, we joined the Kingsbury Green Academy (KGA) Career Fair in Calne as representatives of the care sector. They shared their personal experiences, career journeys, and insights into the opportunities available within the care industry.

The students were enthusiastic, curious, and full of thoughtful questions. It was inspiring to see their energy and ambition as they explored the rewarding roles and career progression available in care.

Engaging Students with Career Insights

At the fair, we spoke directly with students about:

  • Different career paths in the care sector
  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • The variety of roles available, from care support to management

Students had the chance to hear first-hand about what a career in care looks like, why it can be so rewarding, and how they might pursue opportunities in this growing and essential industry.

Inspiring the Next Generation

The KGA Career Fair brought together students eager to learn about different careers and gain insight into what their future could look like. Right at Home Central Wiltshire’s team encouraged students to think about their career options, ask questions, and explore opportunities in a sector that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

Our participation highlighted the importance of early engagement with students, helping them understand the diverse opportunities in care and motivating them to consider a meaningful career where they can make an impact.

I’d like to thank all the employers/organisations that gave up their time to support us. Our careers fair is such an important event and gives our pupils (from all year groups) the chance to find out more about local businesses, educators, and organisations. Our young people came away really inspired and excited.

Students:

I enjoyed speaking to employers and learn about their jobs.  I was really nervous about speaking to an employer, but they were really friendly. It was useful to talk to different universities for a wider choice of options.

Teacher/Year 7 Tutor:

The students really embraced and enjoyed the opportunity of talking to the different organisations.

Looking Ahead

The Career Fair was a fantastic opportunity to connect with young people, showcase the care industry, and inspire students to think about their future pathways. Right at Home Central Wiltshire looks forward to supporting and guiding the next generation of care professionals as they begin to explore their career options.
