Welcome to this month’s newsletter, where we share a few highlights, helpful wellbeing tips, and updates from our team. As spring begins to arrive, it’s a lovely time to enjoy brighter days, gentle activity, and opportunities to connect with others in the community. In this edition, we’re sharing simple ways to make the most of the season, a light exercise challenge, some wonderful community moments, and news from our team as we continue to grow and support more people in their own homes.
Welcoming Spring, Wellbeing & Community Moments
As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring begin to appear, it’s a lovely time to enjoy a little fresh air after the colder winter months. Even a short trip outdoors can lift our mood, boost energy levels, and bring a welcome change of scenery.
Spring doesn’t have to mean big plans – sometimes the simplest outings bring the greatest joy.
Enjoying the First Signs of Spring
Getting outside, even briefly, can make a real difference to wellbeing. Fresh air, gentle movement, and a change of environment can help improve mood, encourage social connection, and bring a sense of routine and independence.
Here are a few gentle ways to enjoy the season:
- A short walk in the local park
- Sitting in the garden with a warm drink
- Visiting a favourite café
- Attending a local club or community group
- Browsing the shops or garden centre
Sometimes the smallest moments – a chat with a friend, a cup of tea in the sunshine, or a stroll outdoors – can brighten the whole day.
How Our Team Can Support You
If getting out and about feels a little daunting, our team is here to help in a calm and supportive way.
We can provide:
- Friendly companionship for walks or outings
- Assistance with mobility and transport
- Support to attend social groups or appointments
- A few hours of respite for family carers
Whether it’s enjoying a cup of tea in town or simply sitting outside to feel the sunshine, small steps can make a big difference. If you’d like to explore ways to make the most of the brighter days ahead, our team is always happy to chat.
Let’s welcome spring together.
March Exercise Challenge: Arm Circles & Raises
Spring is a wonderful time to loosen up, stretch out, and get moving.
Your Goal:
Perform arm circles and gentle raises for 5 minutes, 2–3 times a day to help reduce stiffness and support everyday activities like reaching and lifting.
Exercise idea:
Slowly raise your arms overhead, hold for five seconds, then gently lower them again. Repeat 10 times, always moving within your comfort zone.
Small, regular movements can make a big difference to flexibility, strength, and maintaining independence.
WorkBuzz Survey – Your Feedback Matters
Some of you may have received a WorkBuzz survey by post or email. This survey is anonymous and helps us understand how we can continue improving our domiciliary homecare services.
We would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to share your feedback.
Thank you for your time, your trust, and for helping us continue to provide the best possible care and support.
Community Moments: Bingo, Big Smiles & a Wonderful Afternoon
We recently had a fantastic time at a Bingo Event at the Chippenham Day Centre. The afternoon was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and lots of happy moments shared together.
It was heart-warming to see everyone enjoying the game, chatting with friends, and celebrating the excitement of each win.
A big thank you to the team at Chippenham Day Centre for hosting us and giving us such a warm welcome.
This was also the first event delivered by our volunteering team, and what a brilliant start it was. We’re looking forward to bringing more opportunities for people in our community to connect, socialise, and have fun together.
Stay tuned for more events coming soon.
Growing Our Team to Support More People
We’re delighted that our first Recruitment Open Day was a success. Thank you to everyone who supported this positive and encouraging step in growing our care team.
As demand for homecare continues to grow, expanding our team helps us support more people to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
It’s a great opportunity to learn more about a career in care, meet our friendly team, and discover how rewarding it can be to support people in their own homes.
