Right at Home Chichester & Bognor Regis, in partnership with the children of Arundel Church of England Primary School, has been named Overall Carnival Winner and winner of Best Dressed Float at this year’s Bognor Regis Carnival
We are donating our prize money to support the school choir on a very special trip.
What a day it was. After weeks of preparation, our “Right at Home in the Jungle” float made its way through the streets of Bognor Regis and along the seafront on Saturday 23rd May 2026, as part of this year’s “Jungle Mayhem” themed carnival.
And the hard work paid off. We are immensely proud to have been awarded both Overall Carnival Winner and Best Dressed Float — the carnival’s top two accolades.
Finally, we want to extend a special thank you to the army of volunteers and event organisers who made carnival day possible. From marshalling the parade route to setting up the showground, these are the people who give their time freely so that the whole community can enjoy a fantastic day out. Events like this simply do not happen without them — and Bognor Regis is lucky to have such a committed and big-hearted group of people behind one of the highlights of its year. Thank you, all of you, for a truly fantastic day.

A float built with care and creativity
This year’s entry was a true team effort. The children of Arundel Church of England Primary School, led by their teachers Mr Servant and Miss Richardson, designed costumes and decorations at school, while our own team transformed the float into a slice of jungle magic — complete with a hand-painted safari truck, towering giraffes, leafy camouflage and animals at every turn.
Bringing generations together
For us, this carnival was always about far more than a parade. It was about bringing generations together — connecting local schoolchildren with the people Right at Home Chichester & Bognor Regis is so proud to support every day across our community.
The day was made all the more special by the Right at Home Clients who joined the celebrations, coming along to share the occasion with our team and the children. In a wonderful moment that delighted spectators along the route, the children gave a beautiful performance of “Hakuna Matata” — bringing the jungle theme to life and earning warm applause from the crowds.

Donating our prize money to the school choir
In a gesture that adds to the celebrations, we have chosen to donate our carnival prize money directly to Arundel Church of England Primary School. The funds will help support the school choir as they prepare to perform at Young Voices at the O2 Arena in London this January — one of the country’s largest children’s choir events, bringing together primary schools from across the UK and giving children the chance to build confidence, discover their voices and take part in an unforgettable shared performance.
Hearing the children sing so beautifully on carnival day, it felt only right that the prize should go straight back to them.

Watching the children sing their hearts out, and seeing our Clients there to share the day with us, is something none of us will forget.
“That is exactly why we wanted the prize money to go straight back to the children, to help support the choir as they prepare for something as special as Young Voices at the O2. This was always about more than a parade — it was about bringing generations together and giving something back to our community.
“A huge thank you to Mr Servant, Mrs Richardson, the children and families of Arundel Church of England Primary School, our wonderful care team and Clients, and the Bognor Regis Carnival Association for organising such a brilliant day for our town.”

This was a strong year all round for Right at Home Chichester & Bognor Regis, which was also recently named a WorkBuzz 5 Star Employer for 2026 — our fourth time receiving the accreditation.
