🦁🌴 Counting Down to Bognor Carnival Day 🦁🌴
Right at Home Chichester & Bognor Regis and Arundel Church of England Primary School. Gets Ready for the 23rd May

The excitement is building
As we put the finishing touches to our "Jungle Mayhem" float — joined by the wonderful Year 4 children of Arundel Church of England Primary School. It is almost here!
After weeks of preparation, creativity and a fair bit of glitter, our jungle-themed float is taking shape — and we cannot wait to bring it to the streets of Bognor Regis this coming Saturday. Together with the Year 4 children of Arundel Church of England Primary School, their teachers, Mr Servant and Miss Richardson, and our own team and supporters, we are ready to roar into action.
What you'll see on Saturday
It will be the result of so much hard work going on behind the scenes. From the children designing costumes and decorations at school, to our own team transforming the float into a slice of jungle magic, every part of this carnival entry has been built with care, creativity and community spirit.
The energy and imagination the Year 4 children have brought to the project has been incredible. Watching young people pour themselves into something they will share with their wider community — and seeing how proud they are of what they have created — is one of the most rewarding parts of this whole partnership.
What to look out for on the day
The Bognor Regis Carnival, organised by the Bognor Regis Carnival Association, is one of the biggest and most-loved events on the local calendar. Here is what is happening on Saturday 23rd May 2026:
- Parade through the town centre and along the seafront, setting off from 1:15pm
- Showground entertainment at West Park — live music, street food, a bar, children's activities and community stalls
- A full day of celebration running through to the evening
Our float will be part of the parade, packed with colour, music, jungle costumes and beaming faces. Come along, line the route, give us a wave — and don't forget to take photos and tag us so we can share them.
Bringing generations together
As we shared in our earlier news post, this partnership is about more than carnival fun. It is about bringing generations together — connecting the youngest members of our community with the people Right at Home Chichester & Bognor Regis supports every day across our towns.
The conversations, the creativity, the shared excitement in the run-up to Saturday — all of it builds bridges that we hope will long outlast the day itself. We feel privileged to be working alongside Arundel Church of England Primary School on this and cannot wait to see it all come together on the day.
A huge thank you, in advance
So much goes into making a day like this happen, and we would like to say an enormous thank you — in advance — to everyone helping bring it to life:
- The Year 4 children of Arundel Church of England Primary School — your enthusiasm and creativity has been wonderful. We cannot wait to share Saturday with you.
- Mr Servant and Mrs Richardson — for your incredible support, organisation and commitment to making this partnership happen.
- The wider staff, parents and families at Arundel Church of England Primary School — for embracing this with such warmth and getting behind the children every step of the way.
- Our Care Team and office staff — for the hours, creativity and heart you have poured into the float. You are making it possible.
- The Bognor Regis Carnival Association — for once again organising the brilliant community event that is the highlight of so many local calendars.
