Right at Home Chippenham Joins the Melksham Food & River Festival

A Weekend of Community, Care, and Connection

Published: 01/09/2025

The sun was shining and spirits were high as many visitors gathered at King George V Park for the annual Melksham Food & River Festival on 30th - 31st August – and Right at Home Chippenham was proud to be part of it all.

Connecting with the Community

Our team spent the weekend welcoming visitors to our stand, chatting about the range of homecare services we provide and the support available to help older adults live independently and with dignity in their own homes.

It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with local families, answer questions about care, and meet people from across Melksham, Chippenham, Corsham, Calne, Devizes, and Trowbridge.

Raising Funds for a Local Cause

We also ran a fun-filled lucky dip throughout the weekend, with all proceeds going to Melksham Foodbank – a vital service supporting families in need across the area.

Thanks to the generosity of festival-goers, we raised a meaningful contribution to help support this essential community resource.

A Weekend to Remember

From delicious food and live music to riverside activities and family fun, the festival was a true celebration of local life – and we were honoured to play our part.

We’d like to thank the organisers of the Melksham Food & River Festival for putting on such a well-run and inclusive event, and to everyone who stopped by our stand – whether for a chat, a question, or a lucky dip!

We left with full hearts and a renewed sense of why community matters in care. Until next year!
