Supporting Our Clients, Carers & Community This Winter

Published: 03/12/2025

As the colder months arrive, our December newsletter is packed with meaningful updates, seasonal support tips, community moments, and celebrations across our growing team. Here’s a look at what’s inside.

Supporting Our Community This Winter

Keeping Hearts Warm Through Homecare

Winter can be a challenging time for older adults or anyone living alone. Shorter days, colder weather, and reduced mobility can affect mood and motivation.

This month, we explore how a little extra home support can make life safer, warmer, and more enjoyable, from nourishing meals to companionship and wellbeing checks.

Winter Care & Respite Options

Whether families are travelling over the festive period or simply need a break, our newsletter highlights how flexible homecare and respite can bring peace of mind to everyone involved.

Service Update: We’re Becoming Right at Home Central Wiltshire

Expanding Our Care Across the Region

After six years of growth, we’re excited to announce our expansion into Marlborough, Pewsey, Hungerford and nearby rural communities.

A Message from Jack Miller, Managing Director

“Our new name reflects our growth and promise to support more families with outstanding care. Being trusted by over 1,000 families is both an honour and a privilege.”

This rebrand marks an important milestone as we continue to strengthen our services across Central Wiltshire.

Health & Wellbeing

December Stretch & Relaxation Challenge

Following the success of our Breathing & Relaxation Challenge in November, this month’s focus is on gentle daily stretching.

Benefits include:

  • Improved mobility
  • Reduced stiffness
  • Better recovery and injury prevention

Simple, seated or standing stretches can help Clients and Carers move more freely through winter.

Community & Engagement

Cooking Day Success

Our team enjoyed a hands-on Cooking Day packed with demonstrations, kitchen safety, time-saving tips, and fun challenges. The goal? Building confidence to prepare fresh, healthy meals for our Clients.

Bingo Night & Office Celebration

Our Housewarming Bingo Evening was full of laughter, prizes, and family fun as we celebrated the expansion of our office space.

Launching Our Volunteer Team
