Lisa’s career journey is a powerful reflection of how life-changing a role in care can be. After establishing a successful career in accounts, she felt called to make a more meaningful impact in people’s lives. She joined Right at Home as a part-time Carer, where her warmth and natural ability to build trust with clients shone through immediately. Before long, she moved into a full-time Care Coordinator role, where she combined her compassion with excellent organisational skills to support both clients and Carers every day.
In 2023, Lisa’s dedication, creativity, and community spirit earned her promotion to Community Marketing Coordinator—a role that perfectly captures her strengths. She has become the heartbeat of Right at Home’s community presence, building strong partnerships, raising awareness of dementia, and organising inclusive, dementia-friendly events such as the Golden Cinema screenings. These events provide joy, comfort, and social connection for older people and their families, reducing isolation and fostering a true sense of belonging.
Lisa is equally passionate about giving back. She actively supports local charities through fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and community projects. Whether arranging coffee mornings, spearheading collections for local causes, or helping to promote health and wellbeing initiatives, Lisa pours her heart into making a difference.
Just as importantly, Lisa is an advocate for her colleagues’ wellbeing. She makes it her mission to celebrate staff achievements, promote positivity in the workplace, and ensure Carers feel supported and appreciated. Her efforts create an uplifting team culture where staff feel proud to belong.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a warm and supportive team,” Lisa says. “Changing from accounts to a career in care was the best decision I’ve ever made. Being able to bring people together, support charities, and look after our amazing Carers gives me such purpose—it’s not just a job, it’s a joy.”
