Your role as a Live-in Care Assistant
As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will live in a client's home during your placement, providing one-to-one care and companionship tailored to their individual needs.
Your duties will include:
Motivating clients and encouraging them to get the most out of each day.
Providing personal care with dignity, kindness and respect.
Supporting clients with washing, dressing and daily routines.
Assisting with medication in line with individual care plans and your training.
Preparing nutritious meals and supporting healthy eating.
Helping with shopping and light household tasks.
Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities and outings.
Providing companionship and emotional support.
Promoting independence, choice and quality of life.
Every client is different, and your support will help them maintain their routines, enjoy their interests and remain connected to the people and activities they love.
Who are we looking for?
You might already have experience as a Live-in Care Assistant, but this isn't the only background we welcome.
If you have worked as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or within the NHS, your experience could be a great foundation for this role.
