Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton Smash Yorkshire Three Peaks for Dementia Adventure – And We’re Cheering Them On! 🏔️💙

At Right at Home Harrogate, we’re always proud to celebrate the achievements of our extended care family—and this week, we’re giving a huge round of applause to our colleagues at Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton for taking on the epic Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of a truly meaningful cause.

On Sunday, 25 May 2025, a passionate team of care professionals laced up their walking boots and tackled the iconic 24-mile route across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough—raising over £1,000 for Dementia Adventure, a UK charity dedicated to helping people living with dementia enjoy the outdoors and reconnect with nature.

Meet the Incredible Team

The determined group was made up of:

• Paresh Mistry – Managing Director

• Samuel Harrop – Registered Manager

• Hayley Daniels – Senior CareGiver

• Elitsa Stoyanova – CareGiver

Despite the physically demanding terrain and unpredictable weather, Paresh, Samuel, and Elitsa completed all three peaks in under 12 hours—a huge accomplishment by any standard. Hayley, bravely taking on her first-ever trekking experience, made it through two peaks, showing outstanding spirit and resilience.

“We’re so proud of what the team has achieved,” said Paresh Mistry. “The challenge was tough, but knowing it was for such a meaningful cause kept us all going. Dementia Adventure does incredible work, and we’re thrilled to have surpassed our fundraising target.”

Supporting Dementia Through Outdoor Adventure

All proceeds will go to Dementia Adventure, a national charity that provides supported holidays, nature-based activities, and training programs for individuals and families affected by dementia. Their work aligns beautifully with our own values at Right at Home, promoting wellbeing, connection, and quality of life for those living with dementia.

Community, Compassion, and Going the Extra Mile

While we weren’t climbing the peaks ourselves this time, we were following closely and sending lots of encouragement from Harrogate! Their success reminds us that the Right at Home mission goes far beyond care—it’s about community impact, advocacy, and heart.
