Afternoon Tea!

What a lovely afternoon we had at Social Seniors this week – an afternoon tea to remember! The table was full of delicious sandwiches, from ham and tomato to egg mayo, chicken and bacon, cheese and tomato and even the classic cucumber with cream cheese. There really was something for everyone and it didn’t take long before plates started to empty.
And then, of course, came the sweet treats. We had cakes galore, along with plenty of scones piled high with jam and clotted cream. Teapots were kept topped up, conversations flowed and the room was filled with laughter and smiles.
It wasn’t just about the food (though it was certainly a highlight!) – it was about being together, enjoying each other’s company and sharing a special afternoon. These little gatherings always remind us of the joy of community, and this one was no exception.
