Growing up in a close‑knit family, caring for loved ones was simply part of everyday life. Those early experiences shaped my understanding of what truly matters in care; dignity, patience, compassion, and the reassurance of knowing someone is there for you when you need them.

My family means everything to me, and the way we look after one another has shaped a huge part of who I am. It’s also the standard I hold myself to professionally, treating people with the same warmth, respect and attentiveness I would want for my own family and loved ones.

Before joining the care sector, I spent six years working in planning and development consultancy, specialising in community engagement. This involved organising public events, building relationships with local groups, and helping people understand complex information in a clear and accessible way. I loved the human side of that work, listening, supporting, and helping people feel heard, and those skills naturally carry through into the care sector.

When Izhar and I began exploring homecare, I quickly felt a strong connection to the sector. It brought together everything that matters to me; people, community, and making a genuine difference. Right at Home’s values and commitment to meaningful relationships made it the perfect fit.
