Lesley Kerr

Registered Manager

I was born in South London and moved to Kent at the age of 10, where I have lived ever since. After leaving school, I studied business at my local college before beginning my career in London. I later took time away from work to focus on raising my son and daughter, which has always been one of my proudest and most rewarding roles.

I have built a fulfilling career spanning more than 40 years, working across voluntary organisations, social care settings, and both local and central government. I have also worked with Barclays as a Small Business Manager. Throughout my career, my passion has always been supporting people, particularly young people and adults in care, and making a genuine, positive difference in their lives.

In recent years, I have held senior leadership roles within social care, including serving as an Ofsted-registered Responsible Individual in a children’s care home. I also spent over 20 years with one organisation in Medway, progressing through a number of roles including CQC Registered Manager, Nominated Individual, and Operations Director.

This experience gave me a strong understanding of high-quality, person-centred care, while also allowing me the flexibility to support my own family—especially helping to care for my grandchild and build a close, lasting bond while my children returned to work.

Family is at the heart of everything I do, both personally and professionally. I enjoy spending time with my partner, children, grandchildren, and our energetic Belgian Malinois, Rolo.

Alongside my work in care, I also run a small craft and floristry business from home, specialising in funeral tributes and wedding floristry—work I find both meaningful and rewarding. I also enjoy using my Cricut machine to design and create personalised gifts, cards, and keepsakes for others.
