Certified Support for Healthy Hands and Feet
- Hand and foot care service in Mid Hampshire
- Delivered by trained and insured Carers
- Fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
Caring for your hands and feet is an important part of maintaining comfort, confidence and wellbeing, especially as we get older or live with health conditions that make personal care more difficult. At Right at Home Mid Hampshire, we offer a gentle, one-to-one nail care service delivered in your home by our trained and certified Carers.
Whether you're struggling to cut your toenails or simply want to feel more comfortable on your feet, our hand & foot care service is here to help with kindness, dignity and professionalism.
What Does Our Hand & Foot Care Service Include?
Our hand and foot nail care service is a separate, ad-hoc service available to both our existing Clients and members of the public. All appointments are carried out by insured Carers who have completed accredited training in safe, non-clinical nail care through Nails It (a specialist course run by World for You Care).
Each session is designed to offer gentle, safe care while promoting good hygiene and comfort. Here's what you can expect:
- Visual assessment of hands, feet, nails and skin
- Nail trimming and filing (hands and feet)
- Cuticle care (non-invasive)
- Hand and/or foot soak with cleansing solution
- Gentle removal of hard skin (foot care only)
- Application of moisturising lotion
- Light hand or foot massage (non-medical)
- Nail hygiene advice and support with socks and shoes
- Documentation and reporting of any concerns
Appointments are typically booked as either:
- A 30-minute nail cut and consultation
- A 60-minute full treatment session
All new customers pay a small one-off fee for their own foot file and clippers, for hygiene and safety reasons. After that, you'll only pay a service fee per visit.
What Makes Our Service Special?
Our Carers are specially trained under the guidance of a qualified NHS Podiatrist. In addition to the Nails It certification, they are trained to deliver a comfortable, respectful experience.
We will always begin with a simple consultation and ask questions about your medical history, as certain conditions may require referral to a registered Podiatrist.
All staff are DBS-checked, fully insured, and trained in safeguarding, giving you peace of mind at every appointment.
How Much Care Do You Need?
At Right at Home, we believe quality care should be flexible, respectful and built around you. Whether you’d like a one-off hand or foot care appointment or regular visits, we’re here to help you look after your wellbeing.
- Visiting Care: Our hand and foot care is offered as part of our wider visiting care options. Many Clients choose to combine nail care with personal care support or companionship. We’re happy to create a plan that suits your needs.
- Respite Care: If you’re a family carer, we can step in to provide short-term hand and foot care for your loved one, either as a standalone appointment or as part of our broader respite services.
- Live-in Care: For those receiving live-in care from Right at Home, hand and foot care can be added as an extra element of your personalised support plan.
Who Will Be Providing My Care?
Our Carers are more than just skilled. They are compassionate, respectful and dedicated to supporting your health and dignity. All staff are trained specifically in non-clinical nail care and hygiene, and you can expect a friendly, professional service every time.
We know that having someone support with personal tasks like nail care can feel a little vulnerable. That’s why we’ll always match you with someone who understands your preferences and who makes you feel at ease.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a medical podiatry service?
No. Our hand & foot care service is non-clinical and intended for general nail and skin maintenance. If you have diabetes, circulation issues, or complex foot health needs, we may recommend care from a qualified Podiatrist instead.
Can I book hand and foot care as a one-off?
Yes. This is an ad-hoc service and can be booked separately from any regular homecare support.
Can I combine nail care with other care services?
Absolutely. Many Clients choose to add this service to their regular care routines. We’re happy to build a bespoke plan that works for you.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Just make sure your hands or feet are clean and accessible. We’ll bring everything else we need. All new Clients will also need to purchase a one-off personal hygiene kit (file and clippers).
Who provides the training?
Our Carers are trained through Nails It by World for You Care, in safe and effective non-clinical nail care techniques.
Is this service available to non-Clients?
Yes. You don’t have to be a Right at Home Client to benefit from our hand & foot care service. It’s available to the wider community.
