I have worked in the care sector for over 15 years, starting as a carer and live-in carer before progressing into a care coordinator role.

My journey into care began following my dad’s early diagnosis of frontal lobe dementia, also known as young-onset dementia. At the time, I had very little understanding of dementia or the care sector, and I wanted to learn more about the support available and how best to help.

Watching my dad change from the man who taught me to ride a bike and bake, to someone who needed daily support was incredibly difficult. However, knowing that good care and the right support systems exist has made that journey easier to navigate.

Through both my personal and professional experiences, I have seen the importance of building strong, trusting relationships between individuals living with dementia and those supporting them. I am passionate about ensuring these relationships are at the heart of the care we provide, and I strive to foster that connection with every client we support.
