What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
• Supporting clients with personal care and daily routines
• Preparing nutritious meals and light household tasks
• Assisting with shopping and attending appointments
• Administering medication when required
• Encouraging independence and helping clients make the most of each day

Training & Development

At Right at Home Salisbury & Andover, we're proud to provide outstanding hands-on training. Whether you're new to care or bringing a wealth of knowledge and skills, our in-house training ensures you feel prepared, supported and a valued team member from day one.

Our training includes:

1. In-Person, Classroom-Based Training

Start with comprehensive face-to-face induction held at our local office in Old Sarum with practical, hands-on training in:

• Medication Training
• Basic Life Support
• Manual Handling
• Key Care Skills

2. Shadowing Shifts

You will complete supervised shadowing visits with experienced Care Assistants providing excellent real life experience.

3. E-Learning Platform

Our e-learning platform provides comprehensive training that covers all core areas of home care, including:

• Dementia awareness
• Fire safety
• Health and safety
• Infection prevention
• Safeguarding
• Food hygiene
• Mental capacity
• and plenty more...

We are committed to your long-term development and ensure you feel supported and prepared for your new role as a care assistant in Salisbury.

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, reliable attitude and a genuine passion for helping others
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (with Class 1 Business Insurance)
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends
• The Right to Work in the UK
