Investing in Our Team to Deliver Exceptional Care

Celebrating delegated healthcare training and recognising our incredible care professionals

Published: 22/07/2026

Exceptional Care Starts with Exceptional People

Every day, our Care Professionals go above and beyond to support our Clients with compassion, dignity and professionalism. To ensure they continue to provide the highest standard of care, we are committed to investing in their learning, development and ongoing training.

Recently, our entire care team successfully completed Delegated Healthcare Activities (DHA) training in catheter care and stoma care, an important milestone that enables us to support more Clients with increasingly complex healthcare needs whilst allowing them to remain safe and independent in the comfort of their own homes and supporting hospital-to-home care.

What Is Delegated Healthcare Training?

Delegated Healthcare Activities allow suitably trained Care Professionals to undertake specific clinical tasks that have been delegated by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional, such as a District Nurse.

Our latest training focused on catheter care and stoma care, equipping our team with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to safely support Clients who require these interventions as part of their daily lives.

As people's care needs change, having a highly skilled care team means we can continue to provide consistent support at home, reducing disruption and helping Clients maintain their routines and independence.

For many people, requiring support with a catheter or stoma can feel overwhelming.

Receiving care from familiar faces who understand both the practical aspects of the task and the emotional importance of preserving dignity can make a significant difference.

By continuing to invest in specialist training, we are able to support a wider range of healthcare needs whilst maintaining the compassionate, relationship-centred approach that sits at the heart of everything we do.

It also means families can have greater confidence that their loved ones are receiving safe, high-quality care from a team that continually develops its knowledge and skills.

Investing in Our Care Professionals

Training is about far more than achieving a certificate.

It is about giving our Care Professionals the confidence to deliver outstanding care, knowing they have the knowledge, practical experience and support to provide the very best outcomes for every Client.

At Right at Home Salisbury & Andover, learning never stops. We encourage every member of our team to continue developing their skills because we know that investing in our people ultimately means investing in the quality of care our Clients receive.

A Sweet Surprise During the Heatwave

With temperatures soaring during the training day, we wanted to show our appreciation for the team's hard work and dedication.

Halfway through the session, we surprised everyone with a selection of ice creams to help them cool down and enjoy a well-earned break.

The smiles around the room were a wonderful reminder that looking after our team is just as important as looking after our Clients.

Whilst the ice creams were a small gesture, they reflect the culture we are proud to have built at Right at Home Salisbury & Andover, where people feel valued, supported and appreciated.

“Investing in our team ensures that our Clients are receiving the highest standards of care and that our Carers are provided with the opportunities to better their skillsets and deepen their care knowledge.”

– Courtney Hillman | Director, Right at Home Salisbury & Andover

What made the day particularly special was seeing the enthusiasm, teamwork and willingness to learn shown by every member of the team.

Our Care Professionals continually demonstrate their commitment to providing the very highest standards of care, embracing every opportunity to develop new skills that will benefit the people they support.

As a family-run business, we understand that exceptional care is delivered by people who feel supported themselves. By investing in professional development, celebrating achievements and taking the time to recognise our team's hard work, we continue to build a culture where both our Clients and Care Professionals can thrive.

We would like to congratulate every member of our care team on successfully completing their Delegated Healthcare Activities training.

Thank you for your professionalism, dedication and commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred care every single day. We are incredibly proud to have each and every one of you as part of the Right at Home Salisbury & Andover family.
