Join Us at Living Well, Your Way – a Free Community Wellbeing Fair

A free community event in Putney connecting families with trusted local help

Published: 15/08/2026

A free community event coming to Putney this September

We are delighted to be joining a partnership of local care organisations to host Living Well, Your Way, a free community wellbeing fair taking place on Wednesday 9 September 2026, from 11am to 3pm, at St Mary's Church, Putney High Street, SW15.

The event is for older people, people living with disability, and the families and unpaid carers who support them.

Entry is free, everyone is welcome, and there is no need to book – simply drop in.

The idea grew out of something we see time and again in our work: families reach a difficult moment and have no clear idea where to turn for help.

Trusted local support, all in one place

A new diagnosis, a fall, a parent who suddenly needs more support, or simply the uncertainty of planning ahead can leave families feeling overwhelmed.

The delay that follows often turns a manageable situation into a crisis.

Our aim for the day is a simple one: bring reliable local providers together under one roof so that people can find answers early and easily.

Visitors will be able to speak with organisations covering health and therapies, home safety and mobility, money and later-life planning, legal advice and benefits, care and support at home, and community groups that help people stay active and connected.

Wandsworth Adult Social Care will also be taking part, including their Technology Champion and Carers Champion.

A relaxed afternoon, with no pressure

The day runs as a friendly drop-in rather than to a fixed timetable, with short informal sessions taking place as interest arises.

There is no hard sell, just helpful conversations and reliable information.

St Mary's Church is fully step-free and accessible throughout, and refreshments will be available throughout.

Whether you are looking for support for yourself, for someone you love, or simply want to know what is available locally before you need it, you would be very welcome.

Events like this matter because good care begins with strong local relationships.

By bringing services, community groups, and families together in one room, we hope to make it a little easier for people across Wandsworth to find the support they need, when they need it.

We very much look forward to welcoming you on 9 September.
