January Newsletter Highlights: Reflecting on a Festive December and Looking Ahead
Celebrating Community, Care and Wellbeing as We Begin 2026
Published: 19/01/2026
As we begin January, it’s the perfect time to reflect on a heart-warming December and look ahead to the year to come. Our latest monthly newsletter captures a festive season full of connection, generosity, and appreciation, alongside exciting plans to support wellbeing, both within our community and across our care team, as we move forward into 2026.
A Celebration of Care, Community and Christmas Cheer
In December, we were delighted to welcome our Clients, their families, and our care team to our Christmas Party at the office. It was a heart-warming afternoon filled with festive crafts, Christmas Bingo, seasonal treats, and plenty of laughter and smiles.
More than just a celebration, the event reflected what matters most to us - connection, belonging, and person-centred care. For those who were unable to attend in person, we prepared festive craft kits so everyone could still take part and enjoy the Christmas spirit from home.
Spreading Festive Warmth with Age UK Wiltshire
As part of our Community Christmas Initiative, we were proud to partner with Age UK Wiltshire to share festive gift bundles with older adults across Central Wiltshire. These were delivered through initiatives such as Daytime Discos and wellbeing check routes.
It was a small but meaningful way to bring warmth, comfort, and festive cheer, and most importantly, to remind people that they are valued and never forgotten, especially during the winter months.
Moving into 2026: Monthly Exercise Challenges
Following the fantastic response to our 2025 Exercise Challenge, we’re excited to be launching monthly wellbeing-focused exercise challenges throughout 2026.
January’s challenge focuses on gentle waist movements, designed to support flexibility, balance, and confidence in everyday activities. These simple, accessible exercises encourage safe movement and help promote long-term wellbeing for both Clients and our wider community.
Celebrating Outstanding Care
We are incredibly proud to recognise our Quarterly Carer Award winners and all our Care Assistants who consistently go above and beyond. From supporting Clients at community events and preparing festive meals, to stepping in during emergencies and ensuring no one is ever left without care, their dedication makes a real difference every day.
Their compassion, professionalism, and commitment truly sit at the heart of everything we do.
Winter Wellness for Our Team
Looking after our team is just as important as looking after our Clients. In December, our staff received flu vaccinations and blood pressure checks, delivered by NHS Wiltshire Council.
These health checks help protect both our Care Assistants and the people they support, particularly during the winter peak season, ensuring safe, reliable care continues when it’s needed most.
Welcoming New Faces to the Team
We were also pleased to welcome Hannah S, our new Marketing Assistant, along with several new Care Assistants who have joined our growing team. They are already delivering high-quality, compassionate care across our community, and we’re delighted to have them on board as we move into 2026.
As we move forward into the new year, we’d like to thank our Clients, families, partners, and care team for being part of our community. Your trust, kindness, and support continue to inspire everything we do.
We look forward to sharing more moments, activities, and wellbeing initiatives with you throughout 2026, and continuing to support our community with care, compassion, and connection.
