Hi, I’m Janette, and I’ve been working in care on and off for the past 20 years. I officially joined Right at Home Cheshire East in March 2025, and it’s been such a joy to be part of a team that truly shares my passion for helping others.

Caring is something that’s always been in my nature. Whether I’m supporting someone to get ready for the day, helping with practical tasks, or simply sitting down for a friendly chat, I do it with a full heart. For me, care is about connection; it’s about listening, understanding, and being there when someone needs you most.

I absolutely love meeting new Clients and learning about their lives. No two days are ever the same, and I find it incredibly rewarding to know I’ve made someone feel more comfortable, supported, and valued in their own home. Whether it’s through companionship, emotional support, or practical help, I’m proud to be part of a service that puts people first.

I live in Urmston, so offering home care in Wilmslow and the surrounding areas feels especially personal. It’s a wonderful community, and I feel genuinely honoured to support people locally, helping them maintain independence in the place they know and love.

Outside of work, I have a wide range of interests that keep me busy. I’m a big fan of winter sports and ice skating; it’s something that’s always brought me joy. I also love craft work, especially cross-stitch and card making; there’s something relaxing and fulfilling about creating something by hand. At home, I care for my elderly mum and share my life with Missy, my tiny teacup Chihuahua, who has a huge personality for such a little dog! I also have a soft spot for tropical and marine fish, and I’ve always enjoyed being around birds too.

And if I were ever stranded on a desert island? I’d bring water, practical and essential! Though I must admit, I’d definitely miss the companionship of my pets.
