Hi, I’m Sharon, and I’m proud to be the Deputy Manager here at Right at Home Cheshire East. I joined the team in June 2025, bringing with me over two decades of experience in the care sector. My journey began more than 20 years ago as a CareGiver in domiciliary care, and through hard work, passion, and a deep commitment to making a difference, I’ve progressed through various roles to where I am today.
Working in care has always felt like more than just a job to me; it’s a calling. From those very first visits as a CareGiver to now leading and supporting our incredible team, the one thing that’s remained constant is my belief in the power of compassionate care. There’s something truly rewarding about knowing you’ve helped someone stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home. It’s a privilege I never take for granted.
At Right at Home Cheshire East, we’re known for our person-centred, dignified approach to care, and I see that in action every single day. Whether it’s companionship, personal care, or more specialist care services, we tailor everything around the individual. That ethos really resonates with me, and it’s one of the many reasons I love being part of this organisation.
Time management is one of my key strengths, and it’s essential in my role. Juggling schedules, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and responding quickly when a Client’s needs change is all part of the job. But it’s the human side that matters most. I work closely with our CareGivers, Clients, and their families to make sure we’re always delivering care with warmth, respect, and empathy.
Living in Wilmslow, I feel particularly connected to the community we serve. Knowing that our services, like home care in Wilmslow, enable people to live safely and happily in familiar surroundings makes all the difference. There’s a special kind of reassurance that comes from receiving support at home, and I’m proud to help make that possible.
Outside of work, I’m a big fan of getting outdoors for walks; it helps me recharge and clear my mind. I also love spending quality time with my family, and I’ll happily admit I enjoy a good shopping trip when I get the chance! I share my home with Bentley, my beautiful German Shepherd, who’s both a loyal companion and an oversized lapdog at heart.
If I ever found myself stranded on a desert island, I’d definitely take a hairbrush. There’s something about feeling ready for the day, whether you’re off to work or just surviving on an island, that helps keep spirits up!
For me, the best part of this role is supporting our Clients to live well at home, on their own terms. Seeing someone regain confidence, independence, or even just enjoy a regular routine again, it’s moments like those that stay with you.
Being part of the Right at Home family means being surrounded by a team that genuinely cares. We all bring different strengths, but what unites us is our shared purpose: to make a difference every day. I’m proud of the work we do, and I’m excited to keep building strong relationships with Clients, families, and colleagues alike.
