July Newsletter Highlights: Staying Safe, Staying Active, and Staying Connected!

Published: 08/07/2025

As the summer sun shines brighter, we’re delighted to share this month’s newsletter packed with useful tips, community updates, and inspiring stories from across the Right at Home Chippenham family.

Here’s a look at some of the highlights from our July edition:

Summer Safety Tips

With temperatures rising, we’re sharing important advice to help clients, families, and carers stay cool and safe. From staying hydrated and avoiding peak heat to simple tips for keeping the home cool, our focus is on comfort and wellbeing through the warmer days.

Monthly Wellbeing Challenge

Our wellness challenge continues! In June, clients were encouraged to do shoulder stretches twice a day – promoting flexibility and reducing stiffness. This July, we’re stepping outside with a gentle Outdoor Walking Challenge, encouraging safe, short walks in the fresh air. It’s a great way to boost energy, mood, and mobility – with carer's supporting every step of the way.

Community Engagement

We’ve been busy connecting with our wider community through a series of special events:

Falls Prevention Coffee Morning at Wadswick Green

Caroline and Crystal led an engaging and informative session on how to reduce the risk of falls at home. From live demonstrations to practical tips, it was a valuable opportunity to promote safer, more independent living.

Big Green Picnic at John Coles Park

As part of the national Dementia Adventure initiative, we hosted a relaxed, dementia-friendly gathering for clients, families, and friends. With games, music, memory activities and nature walks, it was a joyful afternoon of connection and fun. More details here

Chippenham Food & Drink Festival

We were proud to be part of this fantastic local celebration, where our team ran a friendly information stand and a popular lucky dip to raise funds for Age UK Wiltshire. It was a great chance to engage with the public and spread the word about quality homecare. More details here

Our People Corner

We’re celebrating the incredible work of our team with.

  • Going the Extra Mile – Shining a spotlight on five amazing CareGivers who’ve shown exceptional care and compassion, going above and beyond for their clients.

  • New Appointments – Congratulations to Amy Smith, who has stepped into her new role as Care Coordinator. With her deep understanding of client needs and excellent communication skills, Amy is set to make a big impact.
