Live-In Care Assistant

Right at Home Dundee, Angus and North Fife provide live-in care and support packages to clients in and around the following areas: Dundee City, Broughty Ferry, Monifieth, Carnoustie, Wormit, Newport on Tay, Tayport, Leuchars and everywhere in-between.
Duties will include:
- Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day
- Personal care
- Administering medication
- Assisting Clients with washing and dressing
- Shopping
- Housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Taking Clients for appointments or outings
Requirements of a Care Assistant:
- Be available to relocate to and live at the Client’s home
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Must hold a full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and have access to own vehicle as the post is likely to involve taking Clients to appointments, supermarkets etc…
- Ideally we are looking to hear from candidates who possess professional qualifications such as an SVQ2/SVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent although this is not essential.
- Current valid registration with the Scottish Social Services council is also desirable but can be coordinated with our support.
- Applicants must be willing to undertake a PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Group) check/update prior to commencing in post.
- Have a genuine passion to want to help others
You might already have experience as a Live-in Care Assistant, but if you have worked as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS, and want to use you experience to help enrich a client’s life on a long-term support basis, we would love to hear from you.
