Our wonderful carer, Dazzy, recently supported one of our lovely clients to attend a very special family wedding. For many people, occasions like this are once-in-a-lifetime events, filled with emotion, memories and connection. With the right support in place, our client was able to be part of this important celebration without worry or stress and was able to see her Son get married. 

Dazzy provided gentle, respectful support to help our client get ready for the day, from choosing an outfit and getting dressed, to making sure she felt comfortable, confident and excited for the event ahead. Every step of the support was tailored around our client’s wishes, personality, and routine – taking the time to listen, reassure and encourage.

This is what person-centred care truly means to us. It’s not just about tasks; it’s about understanding the individual, their life story, their preferences and what matters most to them. By putting the person at the centre of everything we do, we help people to maintain their independence, self-esteem and sense of identity, even when they need extra support.

Being able to attend this wedding meant so much to our client and her family. Moments like this strengthen relationships, create precious memories and give people a sense of belonging. Supporting these experiences is one of the most rewarding parts of our work as a homecare provider.
