Ageing Well

At Right at Home Reigate and Crawley, we believe ageing well means more than simply growing older — it’s about living safely, comfortably, and with dignity in your own home. We proudly support individuals and families across Reigate, Crawley, Redhill, Oxted, and Horley with tailored, compassionate home care.
Staying Active
Physical activity is vital for maintaining strength, balance, and flexibility. Whether it’s a gentle walk, light gardening, or seated exercises, movement boosts confidence, mobility, and wellbeing. Regular exercise supports heart health, helps manage chronic conditions like diabetes or arthritis, enhances brain function, and lifts mood through endorphins.
Staying Socially Connected
Emotional wellbeing is equally important. Staying connected, through companionship visits, family time, or community groups, reduces feelings of loneliness and helps prevent depression and anxiety. Time outdoors and regular GP check-ins also help slow cognitive decline and ensure early signs of health issues are spotted.
Nutrition and Hydration
A balanced diet rich in fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats supports immunity and overall health. Key nutrients like vitamin D, vitamin C, and zinc are essential for older adults. Staying hydrated, with 1.5 to 2 litres of fluid daily, is crucial for energy, focus, and infection prevention.
Preventing Falls
Falls can significantly impact independence. We help reduce risks by identifying home hazards, encouraging safe footwear, and supporting simple balance exercises. Regular vision checks, maintenance of walking aids and medication reviews are also important for safety.
At Right at Home Reigate and Crawley, our care is rooted in trust, respect, and compassion, helping older adults live well and age gracefully in the homes they love.
