We love to support talent from within our business to reach their career goals, however big or small they may be. So many of our staff within the Right at Home network started as CareGivers and are now Seniors, Coordinators or even Registered Managers. For example, our Care Coordinator progressed from beginning her career in care with us as a CareGiver, and we were thrilled to be able to support her progression. Another of our team, Tanya, also expressed interest in completing further training, and has since been supported in getting her certificate in ‘Observations and Supervisions’.

The courses and programmes at Right at Home provide you with experience at all levels from those new to care, right through to Managers, as we believe in helping all our team to reach their full potential. Read on to find out about each of our unique programmes that go above and beyond to help our CareGivers, Coordinators, Seniors, and Managers provide quality homecare services to our Clients every day.

Gold Standard Appraisal Programme 

The Gold Standard programmes are available for all different roles, and they help to identify what outstanding performances look like, and to demonstrate the incredible work by our teams. Our staff find them beneficial in guiding them in finding directions in which they wish to progress.

Training Courses

Right at Home offers ‘mix and match’ courses, allowing bespoke, tailored support and unique development opportunities to be created for each individual so that you can forge your own path in social care. The course allow staff to meet the needs of a role, or progress into a different role, depending on the career goals. Some of the training courses on offer include specialised Dementia training, Training and Supervisions and Train the Trainer. We also support our staff to work for their NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care.

Training Academy

Right at Home UK is an approved ‘Advantage Accreditation’ centre, which allows us here at Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin to provide a team member the opportunity to train, learn and then deliver high quality training courses inhouse to our own care team. These courses are perfect for more senior team members, training coordinators and those looking to become a trainer. Our sessions include Presentation Skills, Train the Trainer: Moving Assisting and Hoisting, Train the Trainer: Basic Life Support and Train the Trainer: Medication Administration.

Manager’s Essential Standards

This bespoke programme is delivered over the course of a week and is designed for any Registered Managers looking to join a team that provides more support and training, or any senior team members looking to upskill themselves to develop into a managerial role. The programme includes sessions on Customer Experience, Leadership, HR, GDPR< Compliance, and Train the Trainer: CareGiver Induction. We believe that our RMs are the best in the industry, and even at this level, they deserve support and the opportunity for growth.

Instant Access Tutorials

Right at Home UK provide a range of easily accessible, bitesize video training sessions, from 10 to 60 minutes long. This allows staff members to upskill in specific areas, including Marketing, Recruitment, Systems and Applicant Tracking Software. If you are eager to learn more across different departments this can help you to decide what path to take.

My Learning Cloud

We selected My Learning Cloud as our chosen learning management system, and we offer it to all our team members across the Right at Home network. This allows you the chance to manage and to keep track of your own learning and development. The online platform offers access to over 100 e-Learning courses, and allows you to choose areas in which you would like to upskill, with all the resources available at your fingertips.
