Rebecca Evans

Rebecca, also known as Becky or Beck to friends and Boo to her family, is a Compliance Supervisor at Right at Home Bridgend & Vale of Glamorgan. She supports both Clients and Carers within the community, helping to ensure high standards of person-centred care are delivered every day.

Rebecca brings a diverse and inspiring background to her role. She began her career in retail with Mitchells & Butlers at the age of 16 and progressed to managing her first Vintage Inn by the age of 24. She thrived in fast-paced environments, enjoying the opportunity to provide excellent customer service, lead teams, and connect with new people.

Alongside her passion for people, Rebecca has always had a love for foreign language and culture. She achieved a degree in English and Hispanic Studies and spent a year living in Spain. This led to an 8-year career teaching Spanish to young children across schools and educational settings, helping inspire confidence, growth, and learning in young people.

In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, Rebecca faced a major career change when pubs and schools closed. Wanting to make a meaningful difference during such a difficult time, she joined Right at Home Cardiff & Newport — a decision she says she has never looked back on.

Over the past four years, Rebecca has progressed within the company from CareGiver to Community Lead in Newport and later Bridgend, before moving into her current role as Complaince Supervisor. She is passionate about supporting clients to live fulfilling, dignified lives within their own homes and takes pride in supporting the wider care team to deliver exceptional care.

Rebecca is excited to continue growing with Right at Home Bridgend & Vale of Glamorgan and is passionate about helping the service become one of the very best care providers in the area.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys walks with her partner, cooking, going to the gym, musical theatre, and singing. She has been a member of her choir, Allegra, for nearly 15 years and loves performing in concerts and competitions.

Why did you get into care?

“When the Covid pandemic hit, I wanted to do something meaningful and help people during such a difficult time. I’ve always liked to keep busy and feel useful, and working in care gave me the opportunity to truly give back to the community.

Since joining Right at Home, I’ve found the role incredibly rewarding. Although challenging at times, being able to support clients to live independently in their own homes and getting to know such amazing people makes it all worthwhile.”
