Victoria Hughes

Victoria Hughes is the Registered Manager at Right at Home Bridgend & the Vale of Glamorgan, supporting the team through recruitment, compliance, onboarding, and administrative support to help ensure the smooth running of the service.

Vicky originally joined the team as an Administration Assistant in 2023, progressing into the role of Recruitment, Onboarding & Finance Supervisor, and now Registered Manager, reflecting her dedication, experience, and passion for the sector. With over 15 years of experience within the care industry, she began her career as a Care Assistant before progressing into a Care Coordinator role. Although she has extensive frontline experience, her true passion has always been in administration, organisation, and compliance.

She has achieved her QCF Level 5 and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing professional development, training programmes, and courses. Vicky is passionate about maintaining high standards and supporting both clients and colleagues behind the scenes to help deliver exceptional care.

Vicky is proud to be part of the Right at Home team, sharing the same values, passion, and commitment to delivering high-quality care services within the community.

Outside of work, Vicky is happily married to her husband Darren, and together they care for their beloved pug, Zeus. In her free time, she enjoys long walks, gardening, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Why did you get into care?

“For me, working in care has always been about helping people and making a difference. Starting as a Care Assistant gave me a real understanding of the importance of compassionate, person-centred care.

Over the years, I discovered a passion for administration and compliance, knowing that supporting the team behind the scenes is just as important in helping deliver outstanding care to our clients.”
