Collette Chapman
Senior Carer

Collette Chapman began her care journey at the age of 18, initially working in community care, travelling by push bike to visit clients. She quickly realised the joy and fulfilment that helping others can bring, finding it incredibly rewarding to make someone’s day a little easier. Collette went on to work at Valerie Manor in Upper Beeding, completing her Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care, Dementia, and End of Life NVQs, and progressing from carer to Senior Care Manager within five years. During her time there, she was nominated for a South East end of life award in 2016, a recognition she is still very proud of.

Collette has faced personal challenges with resilience, including caring for her father and undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of the support and compassion people need during difficult times, which she brings to her care work every day. She returned to care in 2021 at Red Oaks in Henfield and then worked as a private carer before joining Right at Home in February 2024. She now works as a Senior Carer, supporting her team and delivering personalised, high quality care to clients.

Outside of work, Collette is mother to seven children: Alice, Tyler, Alfie, Miley, Chloe, Summer, and Regan. She enjoys swimming to clear her head, baking birthday cakes for her children, and spending quality time making memories with her family. Collette also has a dog named Blue who is very much part of the family. She is passionate about mentoring her carers, delivering personal care, and continuing to learn and grow in her role.
