We’re really pleased to welcome Sophie back to the Right at Home team as our Registered Manager.

Sophie has over 25 years’ experience in health and social care and holds an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management.

She was previously part of the Right at Home team from 2018 to 2021, before going on to gain further experience as a Registered Manager with other care providers.

Sophie decided to pursue a career in care at the age of 19, after her Gran was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. This personal experience sparked a passion for care that has stayed with her throughout her career, and it’s a role she truly loves.

As Registered Manager, Sophie oversees the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring we meet CQC requirements and continue to provide high-quality care. She works closely with our care team, providing support and guidance, holding regular supervisions and making sure staff feel listened to and well supported in their roles. She is also a key point of contact for our clients, their families and the wider team.

Sophie is passionate about providing care that makes a real difference to people’s lives. Being able to advocate for and champion people is one of the most special parts of her role, and something she truly treasures.

She has a particular interest in the mental and social wellbeing of older people and believes in supporting people to remain independent and enjoy a good quality of life. Domiciliary care is especially important to Sophie, as she believes enabling people to stay at home for as long as possible, while maintaining a good quality of life for both them and their families, is what drives her every day.

Sophie has also worked as a Skills for Care Mentor and Writer and was previously a Board Member at Healthwatch Brighton and Hove.

It’s lovely to have Sophie back with us, and to have her experience, knowledge and passion as part of the team once again!
