Meet Debbie, one of our friendly and versatile Carers

Debbie chose to begin working in care after deciding that it was time for a change of career. She now supports clients across both Bournemouth and Poole, bringing a friendly attitude and a wealth of experience to her role.

Before entering care, Debbie enjoyed a varied career that included working as an equine groom, hotel cook, waitress, barmaid and room attendant. She later progressed to become a Head Housekeeper and Deputy Hotel Manager, as well as working as a liquor supervisor in a supermarket. These roles helped Debbie develop the practical skills, reliability and people-focused approach that she now brings to her work at Right at Home.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys helping her daughter on her farm. During the summer, they travel to agricultural shows where they exhibit her daughter’s pedigree Dutch Spotted sheep.

Debbie has also enjoyed seeing artists including UB40, Eddy Grant and Chicago perform live. Her favourite local view is looking across Poole Harbour towards Sandbanks, Brownsea Island and the Purbecks - a wonderful reminder of how lucky she is to live and work by the sea.
