Jennene

Jennene is one of our fantastic Carers who mainly works in Poole.  She is warm and patient in every visit, something that comes from genuinely loving what she does.  It shows in the moments she's most proud of as Jennene recalls helping a lady overcome her anxiety around showering as one of the highlights of her career, a small breakthrough that made a world of difference to her client's confidence and dignity.

Jennene has always been drawn to caring for people.  She describes it as something that brings her great satisfaction, saying that she couldn't imagine doing anything else. Before joining Right at Home, she worked supporting adults with learning disabilities and ran a day service club for adults with learning disabilities, experiences that shaped how she approaches her clients today.

Outside of work, Jennene loves anything creative: baking, decorating and travelling to soak up different cultures along the way. She's also caught more than a few live shows over the years, including Olly Murs, Ricky Gervais, UB40 and Ed Sheeran. Living by the coast, her favourite view has to be Evening Hill, Sandbanks.

For Jennene, no two days in care are ever the same and that's exactly what she loves about it. She finds it a truly rewarding job, caring for such a variety of clients, and says she couldn't picture herself doing anything else.
