Meet Natalie, our Registered Manager
My proudest moment in care is to have been a part of the team that achieved an Outstanding CQC rating for Right at Home Bournemouth and Poole in 2019. Since becoming Registered Manager, I'm proud to have organised Right at Home's first CareGiver Conference in March 2025. This bought 8 southern Right at Home offices together for a day filled with speakers and networking. You can read more about it on our news pages here where you will also find links to the press coverage the event attracted.
As Registered Manager, I work across Bournemouth and Poole and I enjoy getting the opportunity to deliver hands on care. I have been working in domiciliary care since 2007, starting as a CareGiver and within a few years I became a locality manager for a major local authority care provider in Poole. I started with Right at Home Bournemouth and Poole when it first opened in 2012 as a carer and care coordinator. I worked my way up, becoming Deputy Manager in 2021 and registered manager in January 2024.
I have completed a range of training courses related to care management, including the Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care, the Level 3 Diploma (QCF) in Health and Social Care and Level 5 QCF Leader in Adult Care. Other jobs I've had include working in pubs and retail while I studied and learned to drive but I've remained in homecare since 2007. In homecare, no two days are the same and it's very rewarding.
Living in Bournemouth, I’ve seen some great acts at the O2 Academy Boscombe and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC). Favourites of mine in recent years include Rag and Bone Man, Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr, Snow Patrol, Years and Years, McBusted. My favourite place by the sea is spending a summer evening on Branksome Beach both in and out of the water. In my spare time I enjoy long dog walks taking advantage of the dog friendly Beaches, rivers and the New Forest.
I enjoy travelling to different countries. I spent 5 months travelling Asia and Australia in my early 20's. My brother and his family live in New Zealand so we try to visit them when we can. I also love the islands of the Atlantic and in the past few years, I have been to Cape Verde and the Canaries.
Chief, at rest
