Roberta Statkute

Meet Roberta, our Deputy Manager, a Champion for Clients and Carers Alike

Roberta's journey in care is as rich and diverse as her passion for helping others. Her proudest moments aren't defined by a single achievement but by the unique path she's forged across various roles.  Starting as a Home Care Assistant with Right at Home in 2018, she gained invaluable firsthand experience. This foundation propelled her into number of different types of care beyond Right at Hom including a coordinator role, a service manager for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism culminating with a period as Home Manager of a residential care home.

This breadth of experience has given Roberta a profound and empathetic understanding of both sides of the care equation: the clients we support and the dedicated carers who deliver that support. She explains, 'I've learned that true empathy comes from walking in both shoes – understanding the needs, struggles and wins of the individuals we care for while also recognising the challenges and rewards that come with being a caregiver.' This deep insight makes her an exceptional advocate for everyone involved in the care journey.

Roberta's decision to work in care stems from a genuine 'passion and compassion in helping vulnerable people that require extra help.' Before finding her calling in care, she honed her skills as a quality controller in food manufacturing, a testament to her meticulous nature and commitment to high standards.

When she's not at work, Roberta embraces the beauty of the local area. With her two dogs, a cat, and two chickens at home (her dream is to eventually have a large plot of land with even more animals!), she loves taking her canine companions for long walks at stunning locations like Hengistbury Head, Studland, and other dog-friendly beaches during the colder months. She's also a big fan of live shows, recently enjoying a captivating James Bond soundtrack performance by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Her spare time is filled with nature walks, exploring new cities and villages, gardening, DIY projects, theatre, music, travelling, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Roberta's diverse background, coupled with her unwavering empathy and dedication, makes her an invaluable member of our team, deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of both our clients and our carers.
