Care Coordinator and Performance Lead

Say hello to Sam, our Care Coordinator and Performance Lead.

I worked in a laundry after I left school to allow me to save up to learn and pass my driving test but I have worked in care since 2010.

My Nanny made me want to work in the care industry.  She was a huge part of my childhood and although I wasn’t able to care for her, I wanted to support other people to live independently at home and I wanted their families to know they were getting cared for in the best possible way, in the way I would have wanted my nanny to be cared for.

I have many proud moments in care from supporting clients to live their best life to supporting them at the end of their lives but I am also proud of myself for doing my NVQ 3 and most recently completing the train the trainer in medication and putting my experiences and knowledge into practice as a senior carer.  As well as being a senior carer, I’m also doing some care coordination and I hope to do more of this in the future.  When I go out to deliver care, I see clients across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

When I’m not working, I have 3 children and a step son who keep me busy.  We enjoy going for walks with Maya, our fantastic four legged friend, as well as beach days and swimming. We also enjoy family camping holidays in the UK.
