Leah Kirby is the Registered Manager for Right at Home Cardiff & Newport, leading the service with a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and truly person-centred care.

Leah has worked within the health and social care sector since the age of 18, driven by a lifelong passion for helping and supporting others. She is dedicated to being part of each individual’s journey, supporting their growth, and ensuring that even the smallest positive step forward is recognised and valued.

Leah is passionate about continuous improvement, having spent many years advocating for positive change within teams and maintaining person-centred approaches at the heart of care delivery. Her experience working within the community enables her to understand the needs of both clients and Carers, supporting effective planning and future growth.

Leah’s dedication and leadership have been recognised at a national level. She was a finalist at the Social Care Leadership Awards 2025 in London for Quality Assurance Leader, and was also shortlisted for Care Leader of the Year at the Right at Home Annual Awards 2025. She has completed the ‘Train the Trainer’ being of the teams trainers to complete the induction training for our new starters.

Leah is committed, driven, and passionate about delivering outstanding care, and she continues to play a key role in upholding the values and standards of the Right at Home family.

Why did you get into care?

“I have always felt that supporting and caring for others is my true calling. Being able to make a positive difference in someone’s life, no matter how small, is incredibly rewarding.

Working in care allows me to be part of people’s journeys, support them through challenges, and help them maintain their independence and dignity. That is what motivates me every day.”
