Sarah Whitehead

Hi all, 

My name is Sarah Whitehead and I am stepping into the trainee role of your new care coordinator for Cardiff East 😊

I have been working in the care sector for 14 years, started my career as a care assistant in the community then moved into the care home setting where I was a senior carer for 6 years, and eventually developing into a nurse assistant. I have also had a year of working as a NVQ assessor, levels 2 and 3, giving guidance and support for those studying their NVQ’s. I have done the odd admin/reception desk duties in my time, and during covid I became to COVID Champion for the care home I was at, where I was responsible for testing of staff and residents, cleaning standards and PPE compliance; during this time I was able to develop my leadership skills and it helped me to communicate with staff on a 1-1 basis, which I turn helped me as an assessor.
