Verity Carrington

I started my career in the Health Care Sector in 2005 as a domiciliary care worker. During my journey to becoming a Registered Manager I worked in a variety of settings from people’s homes, residential units, and hospital wards. I have also had care givers in my own home for my late husband so I can relate to what my client’s families and loved ones are experiencing when looking at care for the first time. All these experiences have moulded me into the person I am today.

Over the years I have seen a variation in quality of care which has made me determined to make sure my clients get the standard of dignity and support they deserve. I also make sure my staff feel valued for the work they do as I feel people really do underestimate how much of a difference they make to someone life.

In my spare time I love music. I belong to a choir where we perform at no cost to help raise money for local charity events. I also play the flute and enjoy going and seeing some live music in small venues. I also enjoy walking in country and visiting other parts of the UK when I can. My family and friends are also important to me so I enjoy being with them as much as I can.
