Quality Homecare Services in Stansted Mountfitchet

Right at Home Bishop's Stortford & Braintree is a highly-rated homecare provider serving Clients around the Essex and Hertfordshire border. We provide a service which is tailored to individual Clients depending on the needs and wishes of each Client.

We are an independently owned franchise within a franchise network where quality is the no.1 priority. Right at Home is recognised as a top UK homecare provider - in 2023 homecare.co.uk placed us as the third best-rated provider in the UK.

This was even more remarkable because of Right at Home's size compared to the other providers in the top 5: We were at least 11 times bigger than the others. Our third place was based on Right at Home's average rating of 9.8 on homecare.co.uk.

So what about our office? Our no.1 priority is quality and we are highly responsive to our Clients. We are values driven and operate like a large family as we only bring people in who match our values. You can see what our Clients think about us in online reviews.

Fun Fact 2: A lot of people misspell Stansted. The two most common misspellings are 'Stanstead' and 'Standsted' & this can be quite annoying to those who prefer proper spelling!

A Short History of the Village

Stansted Mountfitchet is a picturesque village in Essex, boasting a rich history dating back over 1,000 years. Its origins can be traced to the Iron Age, and evidence of its early significance was its prominent feature in the Domesday Book of 1086. The village's name is a combination of "Stansted," which refers to a stony place, and "Mountfitchet," which comes from the Norman family who once held the manor.

One of the village's most iconic landmarks is Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, a meticulously reconstructed Norman castle that transports visitors to medieval times. The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, a Norman-era church built in the 12th century, is also a prominent part of the village's ancient heritage. The village has maintained its historic charm, with timber-framed buildings and a wealth of cultural attractions. Stansted Mountfitchet is a living testament to the enduring allure of England's past.

Fun Fact 3: The village is home to a traditional windmill, known as Stansted Windmill, which is still operational and open to visitors on select occasions.

Stansted Mountfitchet Live In Care Services

Right at Home Bishop's Stortford & Braintree understands there is never an easy time to be faced with the decision to move out of your home and into an unfamiliar care home setting. Our Quality Live-In Care service is an extremely viable alternative to a care home; as we offer one-to-one highly personalised, flexible care and support in surroundings familiar to you and your loved ones.

So how does it work? Our live-in carer would need their own room and a break during the day. We would work with you to find the most appropriate person who can stay for a period of time that suits both yourself and our live in carer. Each scenario is different however and we would be as flexible as possible to make it work for you.

David

David (pictured) is one of our long-standing Clients who is resident in Stansted Mountfitchet. David is a great example of the difference we can make to people's lives. Actually David has made a big difference to all of our lives too with his infectious enthusiasm for life and his refusal to take no for an answer.

In 2022 we were able to surprise David as part of Right at Home's Tin Full of Wishes Campaign which celebrated 10 years of Right at Home. David had told us that one of his heroes was Ed Leigh, the BBC Ski Sunday presenter. This was because Ed treats disabled people as people. We were able to surprise David with an afternoon's skiing with Ed at the Hemel Snow Centre. The video of the day can be viewed here. Enjoy!
