More Than a Care Visit: The Right at Home Difference

When a loved one needs care at home, families often start by looking for someone they can trust to provide excellent care.

But as many families quickly discover, care is about much more than the time a Carer spends in the home.

There are prescriptions to organise, appointments to arrange, care supplies to order, forms to complete and professionals to speak to. Sometimes, families simply need someone who knows their loved one and can help them work out what needs to happen next.

That's where Right at Home Bournemouth & Poole is different.

You don't just get a Carer. You get a team behind you.

When someone becomes a Client of Right at Home Bournemouth & Poole, our support doesn't stop when the Carer leaves their home.

Our office team is here to support Clients and their families with the practical things that can make life easier.

Depending on someone's needs, this might include helping to coordinate prescriptions, collecting them where appropriate, helping with shopping and essential errands, ordering care supplies such as pads, supporting families with Blue Badge applications, or liaising with healthcare professionals and other services involved in someone's care.

Sometimes it's something small.

Sometimes it's something that feels overwhelming.

And sometimes a family simply needs someone to say, “Let's see how we can help.”

Because families need support too

For many of our Clients, particularly older people, people living with dementia or those with complex care needs, there can be a lot happening around their care.

Families may be trying to balance work, children and their own commitments while also supporting a parent, partner or relative.

And if they don't live locally, the worry can be even greater.

They may find themselves thinking:

Has Mum got everything she needs?

Who's going to collect that prescription?

Who do I speak to about this change in her care?

What happens after Dad comes home from hospital?

How do I get help with this application?

Having a trusted local care team can make an enormous difference.

Our aim is to make life easier, not add another layer of administration for families to manage.

Care that looks at the whole person

At Right at Home Bournemouth & Poole, we believe outstanding care isn't simply about completing a list of tasks.

It's about getting to know the person.

Understanding what matters to them.

Supporting their independence.

Building relationships with their family.

And being willing to help with the things that sit around the care itself.

Our CQC rating of Outstanding reflects the quality of care and support we provide. But for us, the most important measure is how our Clients and their families feel.

They should feel listened to.

They should feel supported.

And they should know there is someone they can contact when they need help.

"First class support is given three times daily to a very elderly Aunt and before that to our Late Uncle. The support given is exemplary across the entire organisation from individual carers to the centralised office administration staff. All carers are very highly trained and the office administration structure is totally proactive and organised. Of particular note is the real time centralised database which ensures that all carers' smart phones are updated simultaneously to ensure the most up-to-date information is held on their clients. Would very highly recommend "

More than care. A team behind you.

Choosing home care is a big decision.

You're not simply choosing someone to come into your loved one's home. You're choosing people who will become part of their support network.

That's why we want every Client and family to know:

When you choose Right at Home Bournemouth & Poole, you don't just get a Carer. You get a team behind you.

Because good care doesn't stop when the visit ends.

We're here to help make life at home easier for the whole family.

If you or someone you love is considering care at home in Bournemouth or Poole, we'd be happy to have a conversation about how we could help.
