Specialist Care for Clients with Spinal Injuries
Here at Right at Home Lymm and Warrington South, our dedicated team provides person-centred support that promotes safety, independence, and quality of life at home. We’re always looking for ways to build on the exceptional care we deliver and continue enhancing the support we offer.
As part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, we’re excited to introduce a new development in our service offering for clients with spinal injuries.
Enhancing Our Service Offering
Our team supports all aspects of daily care for clients with spinal injuries such as personal care, safe transfers, exercise routines, and recognising serious conditions like Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) - a potentially life-threatening condition that can cause dangerous spikes in blood pressure, putting clients at risk of stroke or death.
We know that people with spinal injuries often face extra challenges, including the need for bowel management regimes - a level of care traditionally provided by health professionals in the community, such as district nurses.
We are excited to announce we are expanding our training for carers to include bowel management regimes. Our goal is to support clients in receiving consistent, personalised care without always relying on external health professionals. This approach helps relieve pressure on community health services while ensuring clients benefit from a comprehensive, seamless care package.
We are confident that this enhanced training will allow our team to support clients with spinal injuries even more effectively, helping them stay safe, independent, and confident at home. And as we continue to develop every care plan in close collaboration with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals, we are ensuring the right balance of safety, independence, and rehabilitation.
Benefits of our Care
- Consistent, reliable support for all aspects of daily living.
- Expert management of complex care needs, including bowel management and catheter care.
- Assistance with rehabilitation routines and mobility exercises.
- Peace of mind for clients and families, knowing trained carers are on hand.
- A focus on empowering clients to remain independent and live safely at home.
