Carer for Team Weybridge 

Before joining the Right at Home family, Tiffany worked in Hotel Operations for Marriott Hotels International as a hotel operations manager in training! Her favourite area in hospitality was Guest Relations, in which she has transferred over to her new role in CareGiving - Tiffany loves to make people smile, so she will excel in her role as a Carer!  

What motivated you to pursue a career in caregiving?

"I have always been passionate about caring for others. From; babies to children, to friends & family, and of course the wonderful clients I have had the pleasure of caring for. I thought if this is something that I truly enjoy and it comes instinctually to me - then why not go for it, and try to navigate a career in the care industry. Not many people find their vocation so young, but I’m lucky enough to say that I feel I have. If I can brighten someone’s day or aid an individual in solving a problem then that’s the best feeling."

What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?

"There are numerous aspects of my role that I find rewarding and enjoyable. To name a few: listening to the incredible stories of our clients and really getting to know the individual and forming a bond, working to support my team as much as I can - especially when we are busy, learning new skills, and the knowledge that I have made my clients feel happy, safe, heard, appreciated and respected."

Can you share a memorable moment or achievement that you have experienced as a caregiver?

"I have had quite a few! To name one: One of our wonderful clients requested me personally for a companionship call every other weekend. This was lovely to hear, as it ensures you as a carer that you really are playing a role in brightening someone’s day!"

What’s your favourite way to unwind after work?

"A nice bath or a run - or both."

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?

"If there is a nagging voice in your head and it’s persistent - listen to it. "

What’s the most interesting thing you have learnt in the past month?

"I have learnt that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it - the right company and the right environment really can aid you in this."
