Connecting with Our Community

At Right at Home Croydon, being part of our local community is at the heart of everything we do. This June, we were delighted to support and take part in a number of fantastic community events across the area.

We had the pleasure of attending both the New Addington Carnival on 14th June and the Warlingham Fair on 20th June. These events provided a wonderful opportunity to meet local residents, talk about the high-quality care services we provide, and discuss the rewarding career opportunities available within our growing team.

While we were unable to attend the Caterham Festival and the Whyteleafe Village Fete in person, we were proud to support both events by sponsoring their free family fun days.

Activites

Our stand was buzzing with activity. Families enjoyed taking part in our games for the chance to win free prizes, and our children's craft activity proved especially popular. We invited children to stop by and draw an older person who was special to them, and it was heartwarming to see so many choose to draw their beloved grandparents.

The drawings were filled with love, personality, and wonderful memories, reminding us of the important role older generations play in our lives and communities. It was a simple activity that sparked conversations across generations and highlighted the value of the relationships we cherish with our older loved ones.

Community Spirit

What stood out most across both events was the incredible community spirit. From families and local organisations to volunteers and businesses, there was a genuine sense of togetherness and support.

We were delighted by the level of engagement and interest in the services we provide, as well as the enthusiasm shown towards careers in care.

Events like these are always worthwhile. They help us raise awareness of who we are, what we do, and how we can support people to live safely and independently in their own homes. Most importantly, they allow us to connect with the people who make our community such a special place.
