Right at Home Ipswich Dementia Awareness Course

Right at Home Ipswich's Director Bill Percy, has delivered 100's of 'Dementia Friends' sessions over the years, along with City and Guilds in Dementia Awareness. Bill has recently handed over the reins to Sam Leeder, our qualified Trained Trainer in Dementia.
We offer this Dementia Awareness training to all new staff, and are also rolling it out to our existing carers. We want as many as possible in the team to benefit from the best practical communication strategies that help them build trust, promote meaningful interaction, and support informed choice wherever possible.
For us, it's all about sharing our experiences in supporting those living with dementia, and the importance of seeing the person beyond the memory loss.
