Wanstead Disability Festival in the Park

Published: 31/07/2025

Right at Home Loughton, Redbridge & Waltham Forest attended the Wanstead Disability Festival in the Park. We had a good day engaging with the community and speaking to everyone who attended our stall!

Our stall had some information leaflets, sweets, pens, highlighters and key rings which we gave out. It was nice meeting so many new people who stopped by to learn about what we do.

Thank you to One Place East

Thank you so much to One Place East for organising such a fun, well thought-out event. We enjoyed every minute of it including the music, performers, food stalls, and meeting new people.

Why This Event is Important to Us

Many of our clients live with disabilities so we were excited to join in with the community and raise awareness. Everyone has unique needs and preferences and it is about supporting people to live their lives whilst maintaining independence and staying connected with others.

The conversations we had at our stall were really interesting as we learned about the challenges that families face and we also discovered new community resources with other local organisations which could help our community.

We're proud to be part of such an inclusive event and we look forward to supporting more local events like this.

Looking Forward

Attending this festival has helped us learn new things and we will use all the feedback and insights that we received from the community to help improve our services.

Right at Home Loughton, Redbridge & Waltham Forest are committed to providing person-centered care. If you or a loved one could benefit from our homecare services, please feel free to contact us so we can help you maintain independence and stay connected to your community.
