How much do companionship care services cost?
The price of our homecare will depend on the Client’s individual needs and the number of hours of care provided. We recommend a minimum of one hour for any care visit to provide safe and effective care provision. But we can discuss how regularly you’d like these visits before providing an estimated cost of care.
You may also be eligible for support from Essex County Council, depending on your financial circumstances and care needs. We’re happy to help you understand what funding options might be available.
What is companionship care?
Companionship care provides emotional support, social interaction, and practical help — all from a friendly face who genuinely enjoys your company. It’s about staying connected to the things and people you love, and feeling seen and valued.

Can I choose my own companion?
Yes, wherever possible we’ll match you with a Carer who shares similar interests, values and personality traits. We know that companionship works best when there’s genuine connection and trust. Before your care begins, we’ll introduce you to your Carer to make sure you both feel comfortable and confident.
Is companionship care flexible?
Absolutely. Our companionship care can be arranged for as little or as often as you like — from a few hours a week to daily visits or live-in support. If your circumstances change, we can easily adjust your care plan to make sure it continues to fit around your lifestyle and preferences.
Do you provide companionship outside the home?
Yes. Many of our Clients enjoy getting out and about with their Carer — whether that’s a trip to the shops, a walk in the park, attending community groups, or visiting friends and family.
