Hi, my name is Tim, and I have worked for Right at Home since October 2016. I started as a CareGiver, and I can honestly say I loved the opportunity to make a difference in my Clients' lives. It helped that my Clients run involved visits along the coast at Lee-On-Solent and Gosport.

Caregiving for me was a huge culture shock as I had spent my previous years working as a Civil Servant until retirement in 2015. As a Civil Servant, I worked for the Lord Chancellors Department through Justice to Tribunals. I eventually set up a Regional Divorce centre in Southampton just down the road from our Southampton office.

The Outstanding training provided by Right at Home Solent helped me so much in my new career challenge, and although intensive was very practical and helped me align my skills and competencies to those gained as a civil servant. Office work was undoubtedly different than Home Care work and finding my way to Clients' properties was my first challenge!

After about 18 months, Kev asked me to start working on a new exciting project called Mobizio; franchise-leading and basically took away the need for CareGivers to complete paperwork and instead used an app on their phones. Wow, what a difference it has made and has kept me in the role until now. I can honestly say that it has saved the lives of our Clients as the interface allows the CareGivers to notify the office immediately should they have any concerns about their Clients. It has received praise from the Next of Kin, who have access to visit notes.

As I continue my journey with Right at Home, every day is rewarding, and Managers and Directors are very supportive. The reward for hard work is always forthcoming, and I love that the gifts from Kev and Amy are personal and honestly make me feel special.
