Right at Home Swindon Walks Towards a Better Future

Members of the Right at Home team recently came together to complete a sponsored Memory Walk around Lydiard Park in support of Alzheimer’s Society.

It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time together while raising money and awareness for a cause that means so much to our team, our Clients and their families. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated, we raised an amazing £161 for the charity.

The team gathered at Lydiard Park ready to take on the sponsored Memory Walk together. Everyone was excited to get started and proud to be giving their time to support such an important cause.

The event was not only a chance to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, but also a lovely opportunity for colleagues to spend time together outside of work. Walking through the park gave everyone time to talk, catch up and enjoy one another’s company in a relaxed setting.

Throughout the walk, team members offered encouragement and made sure that everyone felt included and supported. There were plenty of conversations and moments of laughter along the way, which helped make the experience enjoyable from beginning to end.

The strong sense of teamwork made the day particularly special and reflected the caring and supportive spirit at the heart of Right at Home. Every step brought the team closer to completing the challenge and raising money to support people affected by dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society provides vital advice, practical guidance and emotional support to people living with dementia and those around them. The charity also funds important research and campaigns to improve the experiences of everyone affected by dementia.

This cause is especially meaningful to Right at Home. Our team understands how dementia can affect everyday life, both for the person living with the condition and their loved ones. Familiar routines, meaningful companionship and compassionate support can all help someone feel safe, comfortable and valued.

By taking part in the Memory Walk, we were proud to support Alzheimer’s Society and raise awareness of its important work. The event also reflected the patience, dignity and genuine connection at the heart of the care we provide.

After completing the walk, the team headed to the pub to relax and celebrate what they had achieved. Our Director, Michael, generously treated everyone to a well-earned meal and drinks as a thank you for their time, effort and enthusiasm.

It was the perfect way to finish such a meaningful day. Everyone had the opportunity to rest their feet, enjoy good food and reflect on the success of the fundraiser. There was plenty of conversation and laughter as the team celebrated completing the walk and raising an amazing amount for Alzheimer’s Society.

Spending time together outside of work also gave colleagues the chance to strengthen friendships and enjoy one another’s company in a relaxed setting. The celebration captured the wonderful sense of teamwork that had been present throughout the day and reminded us how much can be achieved when people come together for an important cause.
